Lab Server (Acadia)

Acadia is the lab server. Data and analysis code should be kept here. Instructions for setting up login so that you'll automatically mount Acadia when you startup.

  • In Finder window, click Go --> Connect to Server (or alternately cmd+k)
  • For server address, type in the afp address or the server name, acadia.psych.nyu.edu. Click the "+" sign to save the server address
  • Click connect, and login with winawerlab name and password. The password can be found on the server in Jon's office.
  • Check "Remember this password in my keychain"
  • Set server to auto-mount with login
  • Apple --> System Preferences --> Users & Groups
  • Select "winawerlab" account, then select "Login Items"
    • Click "+" button and select "Acadia"
    • Done

If you're running Linux, it may be easier / work better to mount using sshfs, which you can install via your package manager. The command is simply: sshfs winawerlab@acadia.psych.nyu.edu:/Volumes/data/server mountpoint, where mountpoint is the directory you would like to mount it at, e.g., /mnt/Acadia (note that this directory must already exist). You will then be prompted for the password. Note that, using this method, you'll need to mount the server every time you want access to it; it will not mount automatically. To unmount it, type sudo umount mountpoint.

CBI Server (Tesla)

Tesla is the CBI server. Reconstructed MRI data will be stored here in the Winawer Lab scratch space. This data should be downloaded to Acadia before analysis.

  • In Finder window, click Go --> Connect to Server (or alternately cmd+k)
  • In server address, type: afp://tesla.cbi.fas.nyu.edu. Click + sign to right to save path. Click Connect.
  • When prompted, select the "CBIUserData" volume
  • Scroll down to "winawerlab" for data.
